Stop And Smell The Roses.

There are many things about my one year old son that I love. One thing in particular is how he notices the simplest things. We can walk outside together and he will often point up in the air and say "ARRANE", which translates to "airplane". In our busy adult lives how many times do we notice an airplane flying way up in the sky? My son notices them a lot. A dog will bark in the distance and he will say "are, are", which also translates to "bark, bark". Again something that is just noise to us is something to take note of to a one year old. So, naturally when we caught him doing this we couldn't help but try to get him to do it again for the camera.

My mother gave Kelly this old fashion rose for Mothers Day and it has grown very well this summer. Kelly tends to it almost daily and I'm sure he has seen her do this. I can only hope he will continue to stop and smell the roses through the rest of his life.
