Snow

There was plenty of snow to go around last Friday. By my unofficial measurement about 10 inches on our little hill in LA. Enough snow that the chickens would not come out of the chicken house for days. They just stood at the door and looked out. Saturday morning was sunny and clear so we went out and played. We tried to coax the chickens out with a little scratch feed but they refused to come out so we spent the rest of the afternoon building a snowman.
Tuesday was colder and and I needed to get firewood on the porch. Of coarse I had plenty of help doing that also. Thanks to my buddy Jeff Barger my chimney pipe is clean and my wood stove is ready for the rest of the winter. Just in time too. We lit our first fire of the season and realized how much we had been missing it. Ren has done fine around the stove so far. He knows when there is a fire and he will tell you it's hot.
