A glow.

“Through a father’s eyes” is about my journey into fatherhood and my son’s journey into this world. My part in this basically has only been in a support role for his mother. Really she did all the work. I just take the pictures and enjoy my time with him and his mother. And enjoy it I have. An expectant mother truly has a glow and from day one Kelly was the most beautiful pregnant woman in the world. Pregnant women don’t see it. All they see is the swelling feet, changing body shape, strange cravings and fatigue. The rest of the world sees a woman who carries in her the most beautiful miracle God ever created. And it glows...

After Ren arrived we spent a couple more days in the hospital then they sent us all home. It has not been easy. It took a while for us to get use to him. (he has to be fed or changed every couple hours...) It also took a while for him to get use to us. One thing was for sure he knew who his mother was and what her voice and her touch meant. It was evident from day one that he and his mother would bond in a way that only God intended. Sure, I can get him to smile and coo and talk to me from time to time but his mother can soothe his little crying when all else fails. Watching them interact with each other is priceless. There are times when his little belly is full and his little diaper is dry and his mother talks baby talk to him and he too glows...
